ABOUT

Hello, I’m Steven

I’ve had a massive passion for design my whole life. I am a great visual thinker and believe this is crucial as every piece of design must start from a great idea and a great question.

I have had the opportunity to work with Bournemouth design agency, Bright Blue Day when they set a brief to encourage people to read books. My response to this brief was to create a phone app which the creative director said that he liked the approach of using technology to subvert the user into reading a physical book.

I am adaptable and relish all challenges that are thrown at me, I am a quick learner and able to learn new software in a short amount of time. Recently I created a motion graphics sequence using After Effects in just 14 days. The outcome of which is to be screened in a sustainable, straw bale pop-up cinema in March. The film about Global Warming will hopefully help create greater awareness for this major global issue.

This year I have explored the boundaries of graphic design, from creating a printed, perfect bound book from scratch in nine days to hand coding this website. I am currently studying graphic design at the Arts University Bournemouth and am ready to take on my next challenge. I have an insatiable desire to create meaningful and communicative work and hope that I can have an opportunity to show it to you in person.
